Permission to cite

You may quote any figure we publish, in print, online or on air, with attribution to StubOrder and the date the data was read. You do not need to ask first, there is no embargo, and there is no charge. Our data pages are licensed CC BY 4.0, which means you can also republish the tables and charts as long as StubOrder is credited.

A citation that works: "according to StubOrder ticket marketplace data read on 31 August 2026". Including the reading date matters, because resale prices move and we would rather your figure stay defensible than look wrong a month later.

What our data measures, and what it does not

Every price we publish is the lowest price our catalog reports for an event at a stated moment. These are asking prices, not sale prices: we can tell you what it costs to get into a game right now, and we cannot tell you what any individual ticket eventually sold for. We do not hold face value, attendance or revenue, and we do not model or forecast. If a figure is not something we measured, it is not on the site.

Three exclusions apply throughout. Parking passes, tailgate packages and shuttle listings are filtered out of every calculation, because they carry their own much lower prices and would otherwise drag a market's floor well below any actual seat. Events with no live listing are counted as unpriced and left out of averages rather than treated as zero. And a live seat map will sometimes show a listing below our published figure; when we sampled 175 of those on 31 August 2026, 98% were speculative inventory, meaning the seller does not yet hold the tickets.

Fees, and why we re-measure them

Where we publish an all-in price, it adds a booking fee of 20%, measured directly across 9,161 live listings on 31 August 2026 rather than taken from a config file. That matters because the rate has changed without notice more than once, and the delivery charge moved from applying to essentially every listing to almost none of them inside nine days. Our published figures exclude tax, which is added at checkout, and the delivery charge that a small number of listings carry. If our most recent measurement ages out, the all-in column disappears from our data pages rather than showing a number we cannot stand behind.

Media contact

If you are working on a story that needs a cut we have not published, we will put it together for you. That includes get-in prices and listing counts for a specific game, tour, venue, city or date range, how a price has moved since we started tracking it, and which events in a market are drawing the deepest inventory. Send us the details along with your deadline and we will come back with the numbers and the method behind them.

We are also happy to be quoted on how ticket resale actually works: how listings are priced, why the same seat costs different amounts on different days, what a booking fee covers, and where the real cost of a ticket sits relative to the advertised price. Ask us what you need to know.
