About Fortel Hostel
The best way to #ProtectYourVacay is to secure a spot in the heart of Old San Juan with us. Located on Calle Fortaleza, our revamped hotel has been remodeled, replenished, fully furnished and redesigned for the modern traveler. With everything you'll need to stay connected while offering plenty of opportunities to unplug and unwind. LOCATION: Delicious food, world-class bars, beautiful sights, and plenty of attractions to visit, all within walking distance of Fortel. And if you think you’ve seen everything the capital city has to offer (which we seriously doubt), you’re a short drive from a handful of beautiful beaches, the bustling Condado neighborhood, and the rapidly expanding Santurce arts district. DIRECTIONS: Getting to Fortel is easier than a Saturday at the beach after you’ve turned off all work email notifications. Public transportation in Puerto Rico is limited. We recommend using a taxi or ride-sharing service (Uber operates on the island). If you’re arriving at Luis Muñoz Marín Airport provide your taxi driver or rideshare provider with the following address: 309 Calle Fortaleza Viejo San Juan, PR 00901 ABOUT THE SPACE Modern traveling means modern amenities, and we're not sparing any expense for our honored guests (yup, we're talking about you, and your weird friend too, they're cool in their own way). Bathrooms Travelers will have access to 4, full, single gender-neutral bathrooms. So before you go asking all those questions, yes, they're clean, and yes, there's hot water. Kitchen Remodeled, fully-stocked kitchen with modern appliances. Lounge Area Yes, it's a "common area," but "lounge" sounds way better. This is the spot where you come to meet some fellow travelers, relax before going out, or unwind at the end of a long night. Stream something on the TV, or play some board games. The choice is yours (and the couch is comfy af). Laundry Room Even if you're traveling alone, you're sharing the space with the world around you. When you need to refresh your clothes after walking in the Caribbean sun, our paid laundry room is stocked with two washers and two dryers for travelers to use.
