Hockey sits between football and baseball as a market. There are plenty of home dates, but arenas are smaller than ballparks, so supply is tighter than the schedule length suggests and good seats in the lower bowl stay expensive even on quiet nights.

Rivalry games and visits from the league's traditional draws move prices hardest, and in a lot of buildings a Saturday night is a different product from a Tuesday against the same opponent. Sightlines matter more in hockey than in most sports, which is why the premium for the lower bowl behind the benches holds up even when a game is not in demand.
