Selling Fastest: The Top 20 Acts Right Now

· By StubOrder

A packed theater with red curtains, an outdoor concert under blue spotlights, and a floodlit baseball stadium side by side, with fans raising tickets above the crowd

Every night StubOrder takes a snapshot of how many tickets professional sellers have listed across the whole catalog. Compare two snapshots and you can see which acts lost the most inventory in between. That drop is the closest thing we have to a public read on what is actually moving, and this post is the top 20 from the most recent two-day window, covering July 19 to July 21, 2026.

One caveat up front, because it matters for how you read the table: a drop in listings is a proxy for sales, not a sold count. Tickets leave the board when they sell, but they also leave when a seller delists them, moves them to another platform, or repositions the price. We publish the estimate because the direction is genuinely informative, not because the number is exact.

Broadway outsold baseball, and it was not close

The headline from this window is that stage shows beat the entire baseball slate. Seven theater and immersive titles account for roughly 62,900 tickets off the board. Ten Major League Baseball clubs account for about 33,900 between them. In a stretch of July when the baseball season is in full swing and Broadway is supposedly in its quiet summer, that is a genuine upset.

Moulin Rouge - The Musical alone moved 24,775 tickets, nearly five times the top baseball club. Oh, Mary! and Stranger Things: The First Shadow each cleared 11,000. That is three stage productions individually outpacing every team in the league.

The full top 20

"Moved" is the drop in tickets on sale across the window. "Still listed" is what sellers currently have posted. The last column is what share of that combined pool came off the board, which is often the more useful number: a small act selling out is a very different story from a huge one barely dented.

The one that is genuinely running out

Rank 20 is the most urgent line in the table, and the raw count hides it. Cheyenne Frontier Nights moved 1,998 tickets, the smallest figure in the top 20, but it has only 401 left on sale. That is 83 percent of its pool gone, by far the tightest number here. Everything above it in the raw ranking still has tens or hundreds of thousands of seats available.

This is the trap in any "fastest selling" list. Ranking by volume favors whoever had the most inventory to begin with. If you actually want to know where waiting will cost you, sort by what is left. On that basis the tight ones are Cheyenne Frontier Nights at 83 percent, Moulin Rouge at 25 percent, Shakira at 19 percent, and Paranormal Activity - Play at 15 percent.

Where there is plenty of room

At the other end, some of these have enormous depth. Wicked made the list with 2,695 tickets moved but still has more than 817,000 listed across its dates, so roughly a third of one percent of its pool went. The Wizard of Oz - Immersive Film Experience is similar, with nearly 600,000 still available.

Those are long-running shows with many performances, which is exactly why they hold so much inventory. If one of them is on your list, appearing on a fast-movers table is not a reason to rush. You have time, and more listings tend to post as each date approaches.

The baseball picture

Ten MLB clubs made the top 20, none above eight percent of inventory

Ten clubs made the cut, which is what a nightly-game sport looks like in midsummer. The Los Angeles Dodgers led at 5,106, followed by the Colorado Rockies, Atlanta Braves, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Cincinnati Reds. The New York Yankees, Los Angeles Angels, Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, and Houston Astros round it out.

Every one of them is under eight percent of its pool, and most sit near two percent. Baseball teams carry huge inventory because they play most nights, so steady volume rarely means scarcity. For a regular-season game you can usually take your time.

Music was quiet, with two exceptions

Only two touring musicians made this window: Shakira at 2,417 and J. Cole at 2,164. Shakira is the more interesting of the pair. She has just 10,563 tickets listed, a small pool by the standards of this table, so her 19 percent share gone puts her among the tightest here despite a modest raw number.

How to use a list like this

Read two columns, not one. Volume tells you what is popular; share gone tells you whether waiting is risky. A show can be both enormous and wide open, like Wicked, or small and nearly gone, like Cheyenne Frontier Nights.

These numbers also move. This is a two-day window recomputed from nightly snapshots, so next week's table will look different as tours finish, new dates go on sale, and the baseball season turns toward the playoffs. If you want the live version rather than this monthly writeup, Popular Events is ordered by current listing counts and refreshes every hour, and Trending Performers does the same by act.
