The Buffalo Sabres 2026-27 Ticket Market

It costs the same to get into a Sabres home game as a Sabres road game this season: $69 either way. That is a very different market from the one down the road at the Bills, where home games open at a 55% premium, and it is not the only place hockey behaves unlike football.

Home and road cost the same
Across the 84 games on the Sabres schedule, the median all-in get-in price is $64. Split the schedule in two and the halves are almost indistinguishable: the 44 games at KeyBank Center average $69 to get into, and the 40 road games average $70. The home premium is zero.
That is worth stating plainly because it is not how the other team in this city prices. In the Bills report we found Buffalo Bills home games opening 55% above their road games. Same city, same fans, same season, and two completely different markets. An NFL home date is scarce in a way a hockey home date is not: there are eight of them a year against 44, and scarcity is most of what a resale price measures.
The most expensive Sabres ticket of the season is in Montreal
The priciest fixture on the schedule is not at KeyBank Center at all. It is Montreal on 17 October, at $199 all-in, and the second Montreal trip on 13 October is fourth-priciest at $145. Four of the six most expensive Sabres games this season are on the road.
The Montreal date is also the thinnest market on the schedule, carrying just 367 listings against a season-wide total of 186,069. Price and supply move against each other about as cleanly here as they do in a textbook: the game with the most inventory, San Jose on 27 October with 6,433 listings, is one of the three cheapest tickets of the year at $29.
Home prices climb as the season goes on
The first six home dates average $64 to get into. The last six average $81, a rise of about 26%. If you want the cheapest way into KeyBank Center, the data says go early.
This is the second place the two Buffalo teams invert each other. Bills home prices fall through the season, from $416 across the first four home dates to $321 across the last four. Sabres home prices rise. A football season is front-loaded with novelty and a hockey season is back-loaded with consequence, and the resale market appears to price both.
Preseason is a different market entirely
The four preseason games average $16 all-in against $72 for the 80 regular-season games, and the cheapest ticket on the entire schedule is a preseason date against Columbus at $7. Treating those four games as part of the same market as the other 80 would drag every average down and describe nothing real, which is why they are labelled as preseason in the table below rather than quietly folded in.
The cheapest regular-season ticket is $19, at Calgary on 3 December. Every one of the six cheapest regular-season games is on the road.
What this does not tell you
These are asking prices, not sale prices. We publish the lowest price our catalog reports for each game, so we know what sellers want and not what any ticket eventually went for. It is one reading, taken on 1 September 2026, and resale markets move. Nothing here is a forecast.
Parking passes, tailgate packages and shuttle listings are excluded throughout, because they carry their own much lower prices and would otherwise drag every average below any actual seat. An event page's live seat map will sometimes show a cheaper listing than the figure quoted here; when we sampled 175 of those, 98% were speculative inventory where the seller does not yet hold the tickets.
