Broadway Show: The 60 most in-demand dates available for sale here are sorted by ticket count. Professional sellers decide the prices rather than StubOrder.

Broadway is defined by its location rather than a genre, consisting of the roughly forty theaters near Times Square that meet size requirements. No other venue qualifies, regardless of quality. This is important for buyers since these houses are typically old and often small, rarely offering the cheap but poor seats found in an arena.

It is helpful to understand how seats are named before you buy. The floor is called the orchestra, the mezzanine is the first raised level, and the balcony sits higher still; costs typically drop as you go back and up. Because these spaces are small, a front mezzanine seat frequently offers a superior perspective of the entire stage (group numbers, dance moves, and anything using all the space) compared to a seat on the orchestra side that costs considerably more. Marked listings for obstructed and partial-view spots exist; for certain shows they are real steals, while for others they are a waste of money.

Because a production runs eight performances a week for months, supply is real and the same seat exists on many dates. Midweek evenings and matinees consistently list below Friday and Saturday for the same show. The exception is a limited run or a star casting, where the window is short, the supply does not replenish, and the market behaves like a concert.

Need a hotel for Broadway?

Most Broadway events listed here are in the city below, and clicking any one opens a hotels page for that city. These pages show the actual distance from the center of town so you know if a property is within walking or driving distance before booking. You can also see which hotels are located near each individual venue on these pages.

Hotel rooms close to a venue are the first to go on the night of an event. Because hotels set prices based on the same demand as tickets, remaining options tend to cost more as the date approaches. The rates shown are live for your selected nights. Each city page also shows other events happening during your visit and any cheaper hostel beds available nearby.
